A static caravan is designed to be just that and is usually fixed in one place. This differs from touring caravans, which are designed to be mobile and towed by a vehicle.

Static caravan insurance is not a legal requirement; however, insurance cover is always worth considering.

Cover available for static caravan insurance includes:

New for old cover, which ensures that if any contents are stolen or damaged beyond repair, successful claims will indemnify a brand-new replacement.
Storm damage will cover the cost of a caravan if it’s damaged by a storm or flooding. This is particularly important if a caravan in an area that is prone to flooding or bad weather.
